National Smore's Day

We love when Emily joins us for dinner.  Later in the evening we had some friends over to help us celebrate National Smore's day!  

Happy Birthday Mom!

We got together at my Mom's house today to celebrate her birthday which was last Friday.  We had fun swimming in the pool, we have loved that pool this simmer.  We then had dinner at Maddox in Brigham City and bought some pie for dessert that we had back at Kathryn's house.  I sure do love my Mom!!

Emily

 

The girls love to visit Emily's classroom.  She moved class rooms this year and was only able to get into school a few times this summer.  We joined her today and  helped her get ready for her kids coming in two weeks.  The girls loved putting together pencil boxes and packets and making sure each desk got one.  We love our Auntie Em!!

Camping

I didn't have to work last night so we decided to go camping.  We love Wasatch Mt. State park that it is so close.  We had a great night roasting hot dogs, making smore's, star gazing, game playing and sitting around the fire.  We had breakfast this morning and came home and got showered and ready for church.

Carousel

We had nothing going on today so we called a few friends and met at the Zermott and rode the carousel. The kids had a great time, they let them ride it twice.  We then drove over and climbed the 77ish steps to the top of the crater and looked down into the water.  We had great views of the valley with a midway history lesson from Camille.  We walked down and looked inside which the kids loved.  Brandon was scuba certified there but I have never been swimming, which would be fun.  We got an ice cream and then all went to Camille's to eat a picnic lunch.  So lucky to have such wonderful friends, even missing a few today!!

Birthday weekend

 

 

 

My Mom gave the girls tickets to Mary Poppins at the Hale theater in Salt Lake for their birthdays this year which included a fun sleepover.  Brandon had a trip to flaming gorge with friends the same weekend, so we stayed with my Mom a few more days.  We had fun swimming, playing with Layni on her new swingset, swimming some more, and we really enjoyed the play.  The girls love to wait in line to meet the cast afterwards.  Tabitha told me before we left that her schedule was going to be, "wake up, get in the pool, get out for lunch and get back in the pool, get out for dinner and get back in the pool".  It pretty much consisted of that, we had a great time!  Thanks Mom.

National Ice Cream Sunday

Today was National Ice Cream day, so we made some ice cream and had some friends over to celebrate with us.
