Parley Nyman Winn

My Step-Dad Nyman passed away on Monday.  He has had Alzheimers the past couple of years.  It is sad to see him go but I am happy to think that he is no longer in pain here on this earth and the reunion that he had in heaven with his family members that had passed on before him.  We had great family support this weekend for the viewing and funeral.  It was fun to hear stories and reflect on his life.

Family Bike ride

I love that we can all ride our bikes!  We have taken many family bike rides, even if just around our neighborhood.

Gibberish

   

 The 3rd grade did a vocabulary parade this morning.  They each chose a word and then dressed up like that word.  Gabrielle chose Gibberish.  She had Brandon did a great job and had a lot of fun decorating a shirt with all gibberish words.  Gabrielle has really been lucky this year with great teachers and friends, she is sad to see 3rd grade ending.

Memorial Day 5K

 

Kathryn and I ran the Memorial day 5K this morning.  We had a great cheering section as we ran past our house!  It started to rain pretty hard the last minute or so, so Brandon and the girls came to pick us up.

Track Meet

 

 

Tabitha has really been looking forward to running track.  The practices started a few weeks ago and tonight was a track meet.  It was here at our high school and David and Diana were able to come watch.  She did the standing long jump, 4x100 relay, 50m and 100m.  Tabitha was all smiles and I think had a great time! 

Payson Temple

   

 While David and Diana were here I thought it would be fun to go to the Payson Temple open house.  We have had super rainy weather forgot our umbrella's.  We got right into the chapel for the video and when we were waiting outside to go in to the temple there was no rain.  Once we got out from the tour it started to sprinkle just as we were getting back to the car.  It rained pretty hard the whole way home!  It was a beautiful temple inside and out, I am sure glad that we made the effort to get down there.

Sunday

We haven't been doing our Sunday Family photo this year.  We have 9 am church and since I work a grave shift on Saturday I come right home from church and sleep.  I have actually missed it and thought since family was in town and we all looked matchy matchy that we would do some photos after church.

Flamingo family party

 

 

 

After Tabitha's friends left we got ready for a family celebration.  We BBQ'd cheeseburgers, always her first choice for dinner.  We had flamingo standing contests, opened presents and had yummy cake and ice cream.  My friend Tara always helps me with the cake, it turned out so cute.  Vanessa and Diana bought trick candles so it was funny to watch Tabitha keep trying to blow them out and then Gabrielle and Layni got it on it.  We love Tabitha and are so grateful for her funny energetic loving personality.

Flamingo friend party

Tabitha had some friends over this afternoon to celebrate her birthday with a flamingo party.  They painted bird houses and then Vanessa did a cute craft with the girls hands and turning it into a flamingo.  They then went on a scavenger hunt which ended with a pinata.  We opened presents and had cupcakes.  Tabitha had so much fun and was so cute with all her friends!  We sure love this girl, she has a lot of energy and keeps us going and always has a smile.

Tabitha turned 7 today!  She has been so excited and really looking forward to her birthday.  She chose to have a flamingo party and we have been preparing for weeks.  Vanessa joined Gabrielle and her class on a field trip to a local farm and then we took Popsicles over to Tabitha's class and they sang to her and signed it.  Brandon got the class bird out and several kids got to hold him.  We went to dinner to Chilli's, her choice, and then Wafflelove for dessert.  She was super surprised when she got home, Brandon got her a parakeet!
