Baby shower

We went to the first of 3 baby showers for Kristen this afternoon, it was at Ryan's Mom's house.  Koda joined us later in the day and Tabitha and Layni had fun playing with her.  We love Kristen and Ryan and are super excited for a little boy to join our family in April.

Date night

 

Brandon and I each took the girls on their own date tonight.  We all met for dinner at the Brick Oven in Orem. Then Emily, Gabrielle and I went to the BYU Volleyball game and then Rita's for dessert.  Brandon and Tabitha went bowling and Dairy Queen for dessert.  We need to do this more often, we always have such a great time.

Blizzguar costume

Today was Gabrielle's was museum at school for her animal, a Blizzguar.  All the kids got dressed up and then set up in their rooms and the parents and the school kids walked through.  Gabrielle's costume turned out great and there were a lot of fun creative ones in her classroom.  I am glad that she was a blue macaw a few years ago for Halloween so we had the feathers.  My Mom crocheted the hat, without a pattern and Diana sewed the tail.

Love notes

"To Dade, Love Tab", Tabitha left this note for Brandon today.  He has been working a lot so we spent the afternoon working on some cards from a kit that Emily gave the girls for Valentine's Day.

I have stopped taking my Sunday family photos.  I really liked doing it but it was starting to get to be to much.  I will continue to take as many as I can, I liked being in them.

Blizzguar

Gabrielle has been working for several weeks on an assignment for school and was excited to turn it in today.  They were assigned a particular biome and then had to create their own animal from at least 3 real animals.  She created this poster with information about her animal and biome.  She was given the rain forest and made a blizzguar from a blue macaw, anole lizard and a jaguar.  We have been working on a costume for next week where the kids will dress up and display their posters for the parents and school.

Gabrielle sick

Gabrielle never gets sick, so it was a surprise when she woke up this morning not feeling well and even napped this afternoon.  We were going to meet my Mom, Kathryn and Layni in Salt Lake since we didn't have school but stayed home to rest.

Monkey bars

 We walked to the school playground today and played on the monkey bars.  Tabitha plays on them most days during recess but Brandon has been working with Gabrielle.  We are also loving the great weather.

New nephew

 

Kristen wanted a few shots of her and Ryan and her pregnant belly.  We are so excited for another nephew at the end of April.

Happy Birthday Layni

 

 We sure do love Layni.  We had fun celebrating her 3rd birthday today at a frozen themed party.  Layni is all about dressing up, she has a dress up on all the time, she loves when the girls dress up with her.  Tabitha didn't keep her Anna dress on long enough for pictures but Gabrielle was Elsa for most of the party.  She loved Lambi that the girls got her from Doc McStuffins.  She turns 3 on Monday.

Valentine's parties

 

I subbed in Gabrielle's class the last two days, her teacher is sick and has a child with RSV.  We had a reading break at school so I did not have class today.  I had signed up to help in Tabitha's class for her class party, so I went back and forth among the parties since Gabrielle's class had plenty of Mom volunteers.  They had some fun games and activities in both classes.   Brandon came home with a dozen roses for each of us, all different colors.  We made crepes for dinner and watched a movie.

Warm Sunday

 

   

We have had unusually warm temperatures this winter and all our snow has melted.  The girls and Brandon had fun playing outside in the yard on the swing set today after church and then walking with Winston over to the playground where they practiced monkey bars.

Saturday

I woke up early and went with the YW from our ward to do baptisms for the dead at the Oquirrh Mr. Temple.  It was a gorgeous day and a fun experience to be at the temple.

Later tonight my sister Kathryn came up to watch the girls and Brandon and I went on a date.  We rarely get away just the two of us it was really nice.  We ate at the Spin Cafe here in town and then drove to Park City to the movie theater.  We watched "American Sniper".  Brandon had read the book and we both were excited to see the movie.

Jesse's hair

 

 The girls love watching re-runs of full house.  Brandon is a good sport and let's the girls do his hair, they love to do it like "Jesse".

Superbowl

 

 

 

 

The minute the Seahawks won their game two weeks ago Brandon booked his plane ticket to Arizona.  His best friend Brandon Carr lives down there and they had fun being near the stadium and the other seahawks fans.  Brandon's parents were in town from Seattle for a cousins wedding this weekend so that was fun to have them with us.  We had a fun party at our house, but were sad about the loss.  There is always next year!
