Crazy hair day

Gabrielle was excited about crazy hair day at school on friday. Her braids made her hair nice and wavy, Diana added some feathers and some sparkly hair spray.

Gabrielle had fun with these toys friday morning putting together some words that she has been learning in Kindergarten.

Braids

Tomorrow is crazy hair day at school so Diana did pigtail braids today that Gabrielle will sleep in and then her hair will be wavy for school tomorrow.

Diana is here helping me sew halloween costumes. By "help" I really mean she is doing it all and she is great!

Carving Pumpkins

Monday we carved our pumpkins. Brandon did a lot of the work which is nice but the girls love to help. Tabitha picked out a vampire bat and Gabrielle an owl.

Finger Painting

Emily mixed up some yummy finger paints for the girls with sweet and condensed milk and food coloring. She printed off pictures of apples, pumpkins and leaves, they loved it, especially the edible part!

Wheeler Farm

Friday we ran a few errands and then met Brandon at the Pie for dinner. We then headed over to Wheeler Farm for a hay maze, wagon ride and picked a pumpkin to bring home.

Thursday

Thursday the girls and I drove down to Salt Lake and met Diana and Emily at Gardner village. It was pretty busy but the girls loved seeing all the witches and getting their face painted.

Wednesday

Gabrielle came to me on Wed with this yellow tissue paper and wanted to make some gold plates. She then went on and asked me to help her spell a few words that she put on each page. Her primary lesson on sunday was about the prophet Mormon. I thought it was sure cute of her!!

Wed. night we watched Truman and Bodie while Gregg and Camille went to the temple with the youth in their ward. Gabrielle loves babies and had a fun time playing with Bodie. Camille posted this on my facebook the following day, "my child is running around saying "go Utes" That is a sure way to ensure that we won't be asking you to watch him again :)".

Tuesday

The girls love to leave pictures they have colored under my pillow on the nights that I am at work. Monday night I climbed in bed and finding these put a huge smile on my face. I sure do love my girls!!

Monday

The girls usually wake up about 7:30-8am. They will come downstairs and climb in bed with me and snuggle for a bit and then we get up and see Brandon off to work and then have breakfast. Monday Brandon left early to do some studying at work and the girls came downstairs but brought with them toys and instead of hopping in bed with me just set up on the floor and began playing. It was fun just to lay there and listen to them, they really do play so cute together.

Daddy

The girls LOVE Brandon!! They run to the garage door yelling his name the minute they here him come in after work. Sundays we don't get to spend much time with him, but he managed to wrestle with them when he got home from a fireside and got quite a few giggles out of them reading their bedtime book. Sunday Tabitha did call out to him during Sacrament meeting to get a smile and a wave, which she got!

Tabitha and Brandon had a date night friday night while Gabrielle and I were in Salt Lake. They ate dinner at Arby's, painted a ceramic mermaid and then stopped for a snow cone/slushie on the way home, they had a fun night. She was super excited to wake up on saturday with her own witches hat and a bag of treats from Emily.

Witches night out

Gabrielle and I joined Emily and her cousins for witches night out at Gardner village. Emily put together a wonderful dinner and desserts before we headed over. We had a wonderful night out and look forward to next year where we will put together even better more creative outfits! Kiersten wants Emily to start her own party business, so if you want to hire her she puts on a great party.

Zucchini

This is the biggest zucchini of the season! I have a delicious bread recipe that I made thursday and shredded and froze several more bags for future bread. We had cold weather about 2 weeks ago which froze the garden so this is the last of the zucchini for this year. We have sure loved eating from our garden.

Spooky

Pre-school

Tabitha LOVES pre-school. She asks almost everyday if it is pre-school day and sure enjoys learning and playing with friends.

Shoe rack

Monday was Columbus day and Brandon had the day off of work. I ended up working while he stayed home and was very busy with the girls. He built me this shoe rack in our closet, for the past 6 years my shoes have just been in a pile on the floor! Thanks so much, sure do love you!!

Sundays

Sundays always seem really long, especially for Brandon. Our church is 1-4 and so we do plenty of stuff before we even go to church and then after we find ourselves keeping busy wishing Brandon is home with us. Sunday Gabrielle was wondering where Brandon was and said, "but he told me he wouldn't take that long". He helps with tithing and it was fast sunday and the week after no church because of general conference so he took a little longer to usual. I am looking forward to next years 9-12 church time and maybe we can all get a nap in!
