Sunday

Today was stake conference, we sure loved having Brandon be able to sit with us.  Besides the early priesthood meeting, Brandon had no other meetings, so came right home from church with us.  We ate lunch, had a visit from our home teachers, took naps and BBQ for dinner.  What a great sunday!

Game Night

We had a family game night tonight.  We popped popcorn and the girls chose a few games.  We started off with this fun game Diana brought for us when she came at Easter.  Tabitha is an excellent story teller so much so that she wants to tell all of us what to say.  Gabrielle laughs hysterically when it is Brandon's turn, it is so fun to listen to her laugh.

Sunday

Brandon worked all day yesterday in the yard, it sure looks good.  I love this time of year with all the new color popping up and blossoms on the trees and bushes.  It is pretty amazing how things come back after a cold snowy winter. 

Baby chicks

The baby chicks are getting so big.  Today we brought them outside with us to play in the yard, their first time.  Tabitha is in love with the chicks, she always wants to go check on them in the basement, loves to hold them and talk to them. 

Butterfly birthday

The girls had a wonderful time today at their friends, Presley and Stella, birthday party.  It was butterfly themed and they all got butteflies painted on their faces.  They got to choose their favorite colors to be painted, tabitha is loving orange right now.  Thanks Tara, you did a great job and the girls had a great time. 

Dancing with the stars

We love dancing with the stars!  We watch them a day later than they air, so while watching the results show tonight the girls got their microphones and sang along!  They were really sad to have Anna voted off and most recently Sherri Shepard, "the funny one!"

Tabitha wanted Brandon to open her gift first, all day long. She gave him the new muppet movie and Gabrielle gave him a box of muppet bandaids.

We had a muppet themed birthday party for Brandon's birthday today. The girls helped out quite a bit with the preparations and the opening of gifts. Gabrielle made invitations that we had to "scan" before coming to the party. Happy 38th Brandon, we sure do love you!!

1st Grade

Gabrielle had spring break this week and today she joined Emily at her school with her first grade class. She had fun experiencing the 1st grade. Emily said she got right in and involved with her class and had fun with all the kids. She took her tooth she lost for show and tell and got to put her name on the tooth chart.

While Gabrielle was with Emily, Tabitha, Diana and I went to the aquarium. Tabitha ran excitedly through looking at all the animals, frogs, fish, tiny seahorses, nemo fish, otters, stingrays, sharks, turtles, penguins, frogs and snakes. We went through so fast we had a snack and then walk through again looking at our favorites. We met Brandon's cousins, Britney and Kendra for lunch and then headed back to Emily's school. We then drove downtown to the new City Creek to eat dinner at the Cheesecake Factory for Brandon's birthday.

Lost tooth

Gabrielle's lost her first tooth last night!! It had only been loose for a day or two and she was wiggling it non-stop. Brandon finally pulled it out during dinner and she was very excited. Several friends in her kindergarten class have lost teeth and she wanted to loose one. We look forward to more toothless grins.

Easter Sunday

Saturday

We had fun on saturday with some easter festivities. We dyed eggs in the morning with Vanessa and Diana. My mom and sisters came up and we had lunch and an egg hunt. We had a fun little photo shoot with the girls. Diana made the most beautiful dresses for the girls and found a cute one to match little Layni. We were sure grateful for such wonderful weather, but wished we had more blossoms to pose in front of.

Show-and-tell

Gabrielle brought Nicodemus for show and tell today. She had wanted to bring him for quite a while but I don't touch him! Brandon took the day off to build shelves in our garage with his Dad so he was able to bring him to Gabrielle's class. When they do show and tell they give 3 clues, 1. my mom doesn't touch it, 2. it just shed, 3. it eats mice. It rhymes with cake and has one syllable. It took the kids 3 guesses. They were pretty excited and most of them lined up to touch him.

In between conference today Vanessa had the great idea for us to make Easter bonnets. They were fun to put together and turned out cute!
