Nicodemus

Brandon was asked to bring Nicodemus to scouts tonight, they were learning about bugs and reptiles. He had him out a few minutes before leaving and Gabrielle crawled right over. She reached out and touch him, and immediately got a funny look on her face and backed off. She waited a few minutes and tried again, and then crawled away and didn't want anything to do with him.

Memorial Day

We had a nice holiday weekend. We spent Saturday working in the yard. Brandon has spent a lot of time researching and planning a portion of our flowerbeds. It looks really good and we are excited to see how everything blooms. We went to Ogden today for swimming and BBQ. The weather wasn't that warm or sunny for swimming, so we just hung out.

Lake Powell

7 Random Things

My friend brooke "tagged" me and here are 7 random things about me.

-I love Rootbeer Floats. While living in New Zealand the only place we could find Rootbeer was the temple cafeteria, so we used to go in and buy a can of Dads Rootbeer and an icecream sandwich and take the cookie off and make a delicious float.

-I can't swim, but do enjoy going to the pool. I took lessons while in high school with some friends and never dared to dive. I have to plug my nose when going under and it just didn't seem to work in the diving position. I hope to get Gabrielle started young, so she doesn't have this problem.

-I love to fly/travel. I get so excited when in an airport.

-I hate traffic. I have always wanted to study it, especially why you have to have congestion during rush hour. It just doesn't make any sense to me. Good thing I live in a small town so I don't have to deal with traffic that much. Whenver listening to the traffic on the radio, I would love to be the one in the helicopter, "eye in the sky".

-I don't like to eat fish, but seeing that I am married to an avid fisherman I need to learn. I just have to get past the part that I am actually eating fish! I am sure trying though.

-My favorite season is Fall. I love the colors, the weather, the crisp air, candy corns and about everything else associated with it.

-I love to play games and am very competitive. I must win and will do just about anything to do so! Brandon and I haven't played as often as we used to, but we are both very competitive, so it makes it hard to have only one winner.

I guess I am suppossed to "tag" a few others to do this, but since I don't have many blogging friends that haven't already done this I am going to ask Kaila and Traci to just email us your list of 7 random things and then Crystal, Emily and Teresa can post theirs.

Fun Visit

Brandon's Mom and sisters were here for the weekend. We had a great time with them. Gabrielle loves all the extra love and attention!

High School Graduate

Another great accomplishment from my little brother Scott, he graduated High School yesturday. Now a relaxing summer and then off to college.

Happy Birthday Kristen

My little sister Kristen is turning 26 today! I hope you have a wonderful day and I am looking forward to tomorrow. We love you!

Beautiful Day

It was a beautiful sunny day yesturday so we decided to sit outside in the afternoon and play with bubbles. Gus was a little more interested in the bubbles, Gabrielle loved the lid. It is getting harder to photograph Gabrielle, either she won't look at you or if she does she sees the camera and tries to get it and then is way to close for a photo. She looked cute all in pink with her new Mariners short outfit, thanks to Brandon's family, probably from Vanessa or Diana, but can't remember. Check out those chubby legs!! That is the great thing about summer outfits, we get to look at those everyday.

Happy Mothers Day!

We love our Mom's and are so grateful for both of you in our lives. Thanks for being such wonderful Mom's. I got to spend the day with my Mom, the whole weekend in fact, which was fabulous. We had fun talking, shopping, eating, scrapbooking and loving Gabrielle, thanks Mom for a great weekend. We will get to spend next weekend with Brandon's Mom which we are looking forward to. We love you both!!!

New Ride

We hooked up our bike trailer to one of my Mom's bike and took Gabrielle for her first ride. She loved it, I promise!

Eagle Scout

My little brother Scott received his Eagle Scout award last night. A real Eagle came which was a lot of fun to see. Gabrielle loved it, especially when it was flapping its wings. Congratulations Scott.

Swimming

Since it was so cold and rainy today we decided to spend the afternoon at the pool instead of the yard. There is a rec center in Kamas that has a great children's pool. Gabrielle loves swimming! She was kicking her feet as she floated around in her tube, she had the best time! She really enjoyed watching all the other kids as they ran around splashing. It is so much fun to watch her get so excited!

Australia

My brother Jeff lives in Australia and sent this cute Koala shirt for Gabrielle. Thanks Jeff and Lisa, she loves it! FYI, Koalas are not bears, they are marsupials and should just be called a Koala!

My very good friend Pepper is turning 32 today, I hope she has a wonderful day. Pepper and I met 17 years ago while working together at the Burger Bar. We have been friends for more than half our lives! We have traveled together, been roommates, worked together, gone to school together, been mistaken for sisters or twins and still remained great friends. Have a great day!!
