Seattle Day#5

We visited the Pacific Science Center this morning.  There are several fun exhibits but our favorite and one that the girls have been looking forward to for months was the butterfly exhibit.  It was so fun to watch all the colorful and different butterflies.  Gabrielle was lucky enough to have one land on her and Tabitha tried really hard to get one on her.
We walked through Pike Place market, it was so busy but a lot of fun.  Tabitha really wanted flowers so as we were leaving both girls picked out a bouquet, it is amazing how beautiful all the flowers are and such a great price.

We walked down to the waterfront and rode a new Ferris wheel, The great wheel of Seattle,  that just opened this summer.  It was fun to see the Seattle skyline and all the boats in the water.  We were blessed again with another beautiful day in Seattle!

Seattle Day#4

Brandon and I enjoyed walking around the falls this morning before having an early lunch in Snoqualmie.  The walkway down to the falls, where he proposed is closed, they are renovating.  They are also doing some construction at the top of the falls as well, we talked about coming back in another 10 years when we could enjoy the walk down to the falls and being able to hear the falls from our room not the construction.  Back in Bothell the girls went with David, Diana and Vanessa to Jump Planet and had a great time, I need to get the photos from David.  They were both really sweaty and super tired when they came home!

We had a fun tea party at the American girl doll store this afternoon.  They have little high chairs for your dolls and a small tea cup and saucer.  The food was really cute and pretty good, all small things, sandwiches, muffins, fruits.  Because this was the girls gifts for their birthdays they sang to them and brought out a cute little cupcake.

We drove up to Mukilteo and rode the ferry over to Whidbey Island.  The ride was only about 20 min. each way and the girls loved it.  We played on the beach for a few minutes while the girls collected shells and rocks.  It was another beautiful day in Seattle!

Seattle Day#3

Brandon and his Dad woke up and went golfing while Diana, the girls and I ran a few errands.  We stop in to see Vanessa at work and went to Country Village, a cute little place in Bothell with little shops and a train ride for the kids.  They had fun feeding the ducks and then came back later in the day to play on the playground.  Brandon and I had our 10 year anniversary last week so Brandon had planned a little get-a-way for us.  He proposed to me at the bottom of Snoqualmie Falls and at the top is a lodge, so he booked a night and we had a fun time away.

Seattle Day#2

Tabitha loved posing at every animal statue!

This brown bear was so cool.  He just right into the water and swam right up to the glass for several minutes.  It was fun to see him so close.

The girls had fun feeding all sorts of birds in this fun exhibit.

We started the day off today at the zoo.  We spent about 4 hours there and missed a few exhibits at the end because we were so tired.  It is very big and spread out and the exhibits are pretty amazing. We were pretty close to the locks so we drove over and watched a few boats move from Lake Washington to the Puget Sound which is pretty cool.  We also some some Salmon making their way back to Lake Washington to lay their eggs, the process they go through each year is pretty amazing.  We went to the American Girl store at the mall, Diana had given a doll to the girls for their birthdays this year.  They had fun choosing their dolls and some accessories and look forward to a tea party there on Thursday.  We ended the night with dinner at Dicks drive in, a famous Seattle hamburger place.

Seattle Day#1

We flew to Seattle this morning, the girls were so excited for the flight.  I sat by Tabitha and she squealed as we were taking off and fell asleep about a 1/2 hour before we landed.  We were greeted by Papa Fife at the airport and Mimi back at the house.  The girls had a fun time playing around  the house, Tabitha has never been to Seattle and Gabrielle was just 18 months old the last time we were up here.  I love that it is so green and trees are everywhere.  The backyard where Brandon grew up is like a forest.  We took our family photo today since we weren't all together yesterday.  When Vanessa got home from work we drove to Bellevue for dinner to celebrate Diana's birthday on the 25th, our anniversary on the 24th and Brandon's new job!

4 generations

Today we drove to Spanish Fork for the baby blessing of Everett Lucas, my cousins little boy.  We got together at a park afterward and I wanted to take a photo of 4 generations of Lucas's.  My Grandpa Kenneth Lucas, my mom's younger and only brother Blair, my cousin Blair Jr. and his son Everett.  We have more girl cousins and now cousins having mostly girls, so it is fun to have a boy.  Everett is the only boy that will carry on the Lucas family name.  It was fun to see everyone today!  Brandon was in Las Vegas with friends for the weekend so our family photo will need to be taken tomorrow.

Winn bridalshower

eating breakfast on the deck in the playhouse

Tabitha's favorite part of the a cupcake is the frosting!

We stayed the night at my Mom's last night and hosted a bridal shower for Kristen today with family.  It is always fun to get together with family.  Later that night my mom's ward had a party at the local park and had several members bring their horses.  The girls each got to take a ride, I wish I would have brought my camera.  Tabitha loved it and asked to go again and Gabrielle was nervous and just wanted the one ride.  Another member had a pony hooked to a wagon with parts purchased from the Amish, and we had fun taking a ride around the park.

Wilson bridal shower

I picked Gabrielle up from school and we headed to Ogden this afternoon.  We went to a bridal shower for Kristen at her mother-in-laws house.  It was a fun night and the girls loved "helping" open presents.  Gabrielle has been practicing blowing bubbles with gum and would run to me, Tabitha or Layni to pop them, she has been so excited that she has been able to blow bubbles.  Layni, as always is the cutest, chubbiest thing in the world and we love whenever we get to see her!!
