Pioneer program

 Tonight was the 4th grade pioneer program.  It was even better the second time around!  They had some really cute songs about things they have learned this year while studying Utah history with several speaking parts.  They moved the chairs and everyone got out and danced 2 dances that they had learned.  Gabrielle has loved 4th grade, her teacher Miss Vandebos was amazing and she has a great group of friends.

 We had another fun night of playing pie face after dinner with Emily and Kathryn.

Backyard Fire

 My Mom needed some help in her back field so we drove up early today to help.  We cleaned up garbage and loaded dump stuff in Ryan's truck and raked all the wood from a few trees that had been taken down a few years ago into a pile to burn.  She tried to burn this a few years ago and it didn't go well so she needed the extra hands!  We kept a hose going around the fire and just watched it, it was a huge hot fire.  Our reward was the first swimming of the summer season.  We had a lot of fun!!

Pioneer

 Gabrielle and the rest of the 4th grade have been learning songs and dances for a pioneer program.  Today they got to perform for the 3rd grade in preparation for the parents performance next week.   I happened to be subbing 3rd grade today so it was fun to see.  Diana made this adorable pioneer outfit, which Gabrielle loves!

This is the place

I got to go with Gabrielle on her 4th grade field trip to this is the place heritage park.  We had a lot of fun and look forward to coming back this summer.  The kids pulled hand carts, we visited a pioneer school house and printing press.

Biking to school

I finished up a long term subbing job last week so now I can ride bikes to school with the kids.  We have had a pretty wet spring so we are excited to get out and enjoy the nice weather.

Sunday

 I wanted to try this year and at least get a family photo once a month.  I love lilacs and they are in full bloom around town.  We have this white one behind us and then a purple one that we transplanted a few years ago to a different flower garden.  Brandon and Tabitha have been singing in the ward choir and they performed today.  They practice every Sunday before church.

Track

 Tabitha had her first track meet tonight.  She enjoys running and did very well.  We have gotten out a few times to train with her and Gabrielle and just to get some exercise for Brandon and I at the HS track.

Ears pierced

Tabitha has been counting down the time she turned 8 so she could get her ears pierced.  We got them done tonight in Orem.  She picked out purple studs, her favorite color and did great during the piercing.  We finished up celebrating her birthday with dinner at Texas Roadhouse.

Happy Birthday Tabitha

We sure love Tabitha and loved celebrating her 8th birthday this weekend.  She got a lot of fun games that we enjoyed playing with today.

Boston Terrier Birthday

Tabitha loves Winston and wanted a Boston Terrier birthday party.  We had her friends over this afternoon and played dog games, ate cupcakes and opened presents.  We had a family BBQ this evening.  She comes up with the best themes for her birthdays each year.  Diana found the girls and I darling Boston Terrier t-shirts and we ordered Brandon's from amazon.  Before Everest and Kristen went home Brandon got pineapple out and Everest had fun with him.
