Jelly fish

Gabrielle's ballet class are jelly fish in their upcoming performance of Finding Nemo. They had their costumes to try on during their class on Wed., the girls were so cute after putting them on and practicing their dance. I am excited to see the whole performance in 3 weeks.

Spring snow

During Dancing with the Stars there was a news teaser that mentioned snow. I was thinking it would be in the higher elevations, but we woke up Tuesday morning to a couple of inches. It snowed off and on all day but was melted by the late afternoon.

Puzzles

We got the girls each a jigsaw puzzle for Christmas and they are pretty good about putting them together. We start with the border and then look for different scenes and work on putting those together.

Easter Dresses

Diana made these darling easter dresses and headbands for the girls. I was so excited when they came in the mail because they were so cute and I was so thankful to her that she would share her talent and time making these for the girls. They loved them! Brandon had early church meetings so we didn't get a family picture, but he had a lavendar tie to match!

Easter Morning

The girls had a fun morning waking up to a few things in their baskets and then hunting for eggs hidden around the house. I wonder if we will ever have a nice Easter where the eggs can be hidden outside?

Protected

Tabitha is getting very good on her "bike" and is quite the pedaler. She gets going pretty fast that you think she will topple over. Saturday she got herself all suited up to enjoy a bike ride and make sure she was protected from any falls, she did have one tumble but got right back up.

Explorer Extraordinaire

Brandon's Mom sent the girls these fun magnifying glasses and cute sunhats for Easter. We like reading Fancy Nancy books and there is one called Explorer Extraordinaire and Gabrielle was exploring our house Friday morning to see what she could find.

S is for Supermarket

We toured our local grocery store for pre-school on Thursday, the kids loved it. The guy that showed us around brought all the kids stick horses to ride around during the tour, they had a great time!

Easter gifts

I found these cute treat holders online for Valentine's Day and decided to make them for Easter. I used all fabric that I already had and made them for those sisters that I visit teach and some friends. They were pretty easy and I was proud that I actually made/sewed something all by myself.

Tyler

Gabrielle was in charge of putting the X's on the floor for pre-school. It helps the kids stay put for a bit while we do circle time. She said that Tyler likes really big ones and then I saw mine and she giggled!

Giving it a try...

After potty training Gabrielle, I said I would never do it again, way to stressful. Tabitha is a month away from 3 and Brandon thinks she is ready, so starting monday we began potty training. She has done fairly well, but we still do diapers for bed and nap and if we leave the house. Hopefully she catches on and we can spend our diaper money on something a little more fun!

Sunday afternoon

We enjoyed a break in the weather with a family walk to the kindergarten playground. Looking forward to many more sunday afternoons like this one.

Easter Brunch

We got together on Saturday with my family for Easter Brunch, a small easter egg hunt and the movie Rio in 3D.

Happy Birthday Brandon!

We had fun celebrating Brandon's birthday on Friday. He and the girls had a movie night months ago and watched, "how to train your dragon" and they wanted to throw him a dragon party. We ordered the DVD and party plates and hats and a friend helped me with the dragon cake. The girls were so excited all day, all week even and couldn't wait for him to open their presents, (you can see Gabrielle's excitement in the photo). They each got him a beanie baby, one dragon and one chicken, DVD of "how to train your dragon", a new shirt for work and a red tie for church. Our friend William shares the same birthday we invited him and his family over for cake and ice cream. Happy Birthday Brandon, we hope you had a fun day!

Strawberry Shortcake

Tabitha is not feeling well with a cough and runny nose, Thursday was spent laying on the couch watching movies. Tabitha favorite to watch on Netflix is Strawberry Shortcake sky's the limit, but she calls it Strawberry Shortcake big geyser stone, and says it really fast.

Outside

We have had such crazy weather lately we take advantage when it is nice by being outside. Wednesday we had our friend Truman for a few hours, we walked around the block, played in the yard and even enjoyed a popsicle. It wasn't that hot, but compared to where we have been it was fabulous. We look forward to more nice days like this one!

Night stand

I love reading! Brandon and I try to get in bed early so we can be sure to get some reading in before it is to late. I am in a book club so I always have at least one book that I am reading and I carry around a list in my wallet so when I am at the library I can pick something up when I need. Here is what is on my night stand right now,

Gone with the Wind-I read years ago and thought I would like to read again, only a few pages into it. The first time I read it it took me a year so it may take me a while.

Those who save us-just picked up from the library, several chapters in.

Life of Pi-this months book club, finished but need to review.

Pre-school Wise-what I read while walking on the treadmill.

Raising an emotionally intelligent child-this was given to us when Tabitha was born, I read a few pages here and there when not reading anything else.
