Cake
Gabrielle wasn't so sure what to do with the cake at first, but once she tasted what it was she had a great time! We had fun just all sitting around watching her have such a wonderful time. What a cutie!
Party
Gabrielle had a great time at her birthday party today. She wasn't as interested in opening the gifts as she was at playing with what was inside. Brandon I think had more fun opening them!

Zoo
We had a wonderful time at the zoo today, despite the 100 degree temps. Gabrielle loved pointing and watching and talking about all the animals. We went later in the day so a lot of the animals were taking their naps to get out of the heat, but we were still able to see and enjoy quite a few.
Happy Birthday Gabrielle

Today our baby turns one!! It is so hard to believe that a whole year has already gone by, time sure goes fast. We have had a wonderful year with Gabrielle, she is such a joy and continues each day to do the cutest things. We gave her two of her gifts this morning, two stuffed dogs. As you can see one is small and one is quite large. She wasn't so sure about the larger one, but once she realized that he wouldn't lick her like Gus she was OK. We are going to the Zoo this afternoon and then having Cake and Ice Cream tomorrow.

Deer Creek
My Aunt Heather is in town from California with her children, also my Mom and neice Megan. They went on the Heber Creeper this morning and then the Alpine Slide and new coaster ride in Park City and then tonight we took a picnic dinner to Deer Creek and then played in the water. They said it was cold at first, but then you got used to it. Gabrielle love it! So much so that we are thinking we need to get her to a real beach! She just sat there conent the whole time playing with the rocks and enjoying the small waves that splashed her.

Ladybugs

Brandon discovered Aphids in one of our trees. There are two ways to get rid of them, spray or ladybugs. The more environmental friendly way would be the ladybugs. Brandon came home on Friday with 1500 ladybugs and released them in/on/around the tree and waited. They are supposed to eat the Aphids and then fly away to find other food. Each day there were less and less ladybugs, but still the same amount of Aphids, today I think are all gone. So now we will try the spray! It was fun to see the ladybugs, if that is all they were good for!
Weekend

We also went swimming in an outdoor pool, a first for us. They had some really fun kids pools that are nice and shallow and Gabrielle loved crawling around and sitting underneath the showers! It was a beautiful day, suppossed to have been around a 100 degrees, so the water was nice.
