I woke up not feeling very good, so I stayed home from church. Brandon had the flu this week and stayed home from work for 2 days, so I knew what was probably coming. Sure do love these guys!!

No School
The girls were out of school today. We spent several hours this morning cleaning out every toy bin in their rooms, cleaning out beds, dusting and vacuuming, it always feels so good to get cleaned and organized. After lunch we then went to the park, the weather was gorgeous and got an ice cream cone on our way home. I love having a break from the school routine.

Fife girl Sunday
Brandon's Aunt organized a dinner tonight with all the Fife girl cousins. It was fun to visit with all of them and we missed the few that were not able to be there.

Sunday
My sister Kathryn gave me this idea for a Sunday photo, I had to use our tripod so I couldn't get it directly over us, but I thought it turned out cute. If anyone has other pose ideas for us let me know.

BYU Volleyball
My friend Tara's husband is the head coach of the BYU men's volleyball team, we love being able to come to a game each season and support them. We met Emily at the Brick Oven for dinner and she joined us for the game. Tabitha and Stella loved running around behind the bleachers most of the game. They ran into Cosmo back there, Tabitha gave him a high five, we ran into him again as we were leaving. Gabrielle wasn't feeling that well, so just stayed by me. BYU won in 3 matches. Some are surprised that we would even go to a BYU game, but we love to support our friends and Utah does not have a volleyball team!

Grandpa Lucas
My Mom and her siblings

My family, missing Jennifer, Jeff, Tobi and Layni
My Grandpa bought this tandem bike in the 60's, we have all had our turn riding the bike over the years. My Aunt Caroline read something that had been written for my Grandpa's 85th birthday about the tandem bike and the significance of a 2 seater in my Grandpa's life.
My Grandpa Lucas passed away last Saturday from liver cancer. He had turned 90 on January 2nd. He was a great man, a perfect example of living a Christlike life. We, his posterity and those that every came in contact with him, are better because of him in our life. We drove down to St. George yesterday and enjoyed seeing family and reflecting on his life. My Grandma passed away 17 years ago and I truly was happy last week thinking of their reunion. I was really glad that last month my Mom and sisters took a trip down to visit with him.
