Temple Square

We drove down to Salt Lake this afternoon and met my Mom, Jeff, Neika and Tobi for lunch at city creek and then walked around Temple Square.  We had a nice time enjoying the beautiful gardens and visitors centers.

Bear Lake Day #3

We had another fun day at Bear Lake.  The sun was out this morning so we spent the morning at the beach, with another storm blowing in in the afternoon.  Brandon, Scott and Kristen drove home to get back to work for tomorrow.  The rest of us drove into town for shakes and then played a few games before heading to bed.

Bear Lake Day #2

 The beach was pretty rocky so we set up our canopy back a few feet in the sand and then there was this nice sand mound a few feet in the water that we set up our chairs and played in the sand and water.

Sunday family photo

Today we woke up to overcast skies and but it was still pretty warm so we headed down to the beach.  We lasted several hours before a storm blew in and we packed up everything as the rain was coming down.  After dinner we set up and did family photos, which I think turned out great.  We then headed back into town for another round of shakes, half of us biking the other half driving.

Bear Lake day #1

We drove to Bear Lake this afternoon.  We were excited to be all together with family, especially Jeff, Neika and Tobi who flew in from Australia this past Wednesday.  We all met at my Mom's house waiting their arrival and were so excited to hug them, they were super tired after traveling for over 24 hours so we were even more excited to be able to see them today after they had rested for a few days.  After a yummy dinner we all hopped on our bikes and rode 3 miles into town to get raspberry shakes.  Gabrielle did great on her bike and did the round trip 6 miles, even biking home in the dark!

5K

Kristen and I ran the Charleston 5K this morning.  The girls also wanted to participate and did great.  I brought a stroller just in case they got tired and they did about 1/3 walk, 1/3 run and 1/3 riding in the stroller.  We ran a 5K back on Memorial day and did a little better time this one and I ran more of it, which I am not a runner so a huge accomplishment for me.

Cascade Springs

We spent tonight walking around Cascade Springs.  Emily drove up and joined us for dinner and the hike.  It was a beautiful night and another fun thing that we could cross off our summer list.

Scenic Sunday

 The dark spot along the shoreline is a moose.  

We took a beautiful scenic drive east of Heber tonight, we live in a such an amazing place.  We wondered why we haven't done more of these drives and plan on exploring more.  We saw several different wildlife, deer, jack rabbit, birds and at the end of our drive we saw some moose.  The quaking aspen were gorgeous and never ending.  We then headed down Provo Canyon to Bridal Veil Falls.  It was a great way to spend a Sunday evening.
