New Years Eve

We had so much fun tonight for New Years Eve.  I got an idea from a friend where I made a list of activities and then we put them in balloons and I wrote the time on them.  The girls didn't know what we were doing and had so much fun popping the balloons. We made pizza, played our new game we got for Christmas, made noise makers, played the Wii, set goals for the coming year and toasted the new year.  We all stayed up to midnight!!

Christmas dresses in the snow

I took the girls out today to take some photos in their Christmas dresses.  We have had so much snow this year and it made for a perfect backdrop.  It was cold but the girls did great.  Gabrielle has been loving her new camera!

Star Wars episode 7

We finally made it to the new Star Wars movie tonight.  Gabrielle wanted to dress up so she was Princess Leia, Tabitha was an Ewok and Brandon was Hans Solo, I opted to go as myself!  We ran a few errands, went out to dinner and had some good looks and comments.  We loved the movie.  Starting Christmas day we began watching all 6 movies leading up to this, which was a lot of fun and a great review.  We are excited for more!!

Christmas Sunday

Diana sent the girls these darling dresses for Christmas.  I am going to go out this week and take some Christmas pictures of them but it has been a busy few weeks to try and get out.  We enjoyed our last Sunday of 9 am church this week.

Christmas Day

We had such a wonderful Christmas day today!  The girls were so excited this morning and had fun opening gifts and loved giving gifts.  We woke up to a lot of snow, so after breakfast we all went outside to play.  My Mom came home with us last night and enjoyed the day with us.  We started watching Star Wars in preparation for the 7th movie that we will see this next week.  We watched the first two movies and put together puzzles, ate and had fun playing with our gifts.

Christmas Eve at home

My Mom drove home to spend Christmas with us.  We made it home in time to set out cookies (peppermint bark), milk and carrots for Santa and the reindeer and sprinkled some reindeer food in the front yard.  We read a Nephite Christmas book that we have read the past several years and watched a short movie about the Birth of Christ.  The girls sleep on our floor on Christmas Eve so we got them tucked in and worked on a puzzle.

Christmas Eve

Kristen wanted to build a sledding hill in the front yard.  We had fun putting it together and sledding down and playing in the snow.  Gabrielle declared it the best Christmas Eve ever! It was so fun to be able to spend the evening together.  We had a yummy dinner, singing songs, dressing up and reading the story of the birth of Christ.  Over the year my Mom has put together quite a collection of nativity costumes.  We are graeful for my mother-in-law Diana for getting us the matching jammies.  Layni prefers princess dress-ups but we managed to get some photos.
