Photo a Day

I did it, I took a photo a day this year. I am excited to be starting Project life and would like to do a week at a time. I have a few goals to make this successful but will probably not contine with a photo each day.

Happy New Year!

We had a fun New Years Eve. The girls are little enough that we started celebrating at 7 and were done by 9, they thought they had stayed up all night!! We played several Wii games and a board game. I bought some hats, streamers, blowers and poppers that the girls loved.

Organize

Emily loves to organize, so whenever she is staying with us for a few days I like to put her to work. We organized my guestroom closet with sewing, scrapbooking, wrapping and crafts, I love it. Now onto the garage!

Emily

We picked Emily up at the airport on thursday from spending christmas in Seattle. I went to work and the girls hung out with her for the afternoon and then she drove them to Heber to spend a few days with us.

Coloring

The girls enjoying a morning of coloring before some friends come over to play.

Christmas Tree

The day after Christmas I took all the decorations off the tree and then that night when I went to work Brandon took the lights off and put it out on the curb. Usually we have a snow bank of several feet of snow to put it in so it is so weird to walk by and see it out there like this.

Christmas Day

We had a wonderful Christmas day. The girls slept on our floor and Gabrielle was up by about 7:15 we layed in bed for about 15 min. until Tabitha woke up. Santa brought them exactly what they wanted, unicorn pillow pet for Gabrielle and a stuffed snow white doll for Tabitha. They loved looking through their stockings and opening gifts, it was such a great morning. We had a yummy breakfast and then played for quite a while until we had to get ready for church at 1. We enjoyed a wonderful Sacrament meeting and then came home and played some more. Grandma and Papa Winn and Scott came up later that night and we played a few games, including a fun new Wii game.

I started collecting christmas books years ago and it has been fun to add to our collection each year. We love reading a book or two each night before going to bed and during the day.

Napkin rings

I saw these cute napkin rings last year at our grocery store. I came home and sketched them out thinking they were so cute I would make them. I never did get around to making them until this year when I again saw them at the grocery store. I bought one to copy and spent two nights at work putting them together. We are excited to use them on christmas eve when we get together with family for dinner.

Gingerbread Houses

Friday night we had fun decorating gingerbread houses with Emily, Kristen, Scott and my Mom. A friend suggested hot glueing them together first and no one was with me, but by the end Scott was the only one that did his with the frosting, the glue really did make it easier. We skyped with my brother several times in Australia where he had a great view of the ocean!
