Halloween

David and Diana arrived yesterday after spending a few days in Salt Lake with Emily.  Diana helped today in Gabrielle's class for her party and I went to Tabitha's.  Gabrielle did some reading after school and then we got ready to trick or treat.  The girls had a lot of fun tonight, it got cold but they both walked the neighborhood with no coats and got just enough candy.  We have no school tomorrow which is great so they got to stay up a little later than usual.

We always have fun getting together with my family for our Halloween party.  Lots of crazy costumes come out each year.

Engagement photos

I took my cousin Becca's engagement photos today at a park in Provo canyon.  Kristen took the afternoon off and met me to help style and set up each picture.  Tabitha had not been feeling good so she stayed home from school, so she joined us.  She had fun finding spots that would work and being my model with Kristen to get the shots set up.

Fall leaves

 

Tabitha went out this afternoon wanting to rake the leaves of our maple tree in the backyard.  Gabrielle soon joined her and they had fun playing in the leaves.

Sunday 20th

The fall colors have turned to yellow and we have a few quaking aspen in our yard that look so beautiful.   I wanted to do another drive to see more of the colors but had to settle on this one in our backyard.

It got to be late today and this is what we came up with for our family photo.  We need some ideas for different poses that we have not done yet.

Another one bites the dust

Gabrielle lost another tooth last night.  She was flossing her teeth before bed and it started bleeding.  She is very dramatic when loosing teeth and does not want anyone to wiggle or last night even look at the tooth.  We knew it was about to come out because as we were tucking them in she was moving her mouth funny but she insisted that it was OK.  Shortly after leaving the room she called out and wanted Brandon to pull it out.  It didn't take much and it was out!  That brings the total lost to 8.

Fall Break

  The girls have today and tomorrow off for Fall break, so we drove down to Provo to visit the BYU Art Museum.  I took the first two photos as we were driving down Provo Canyon, the fall colors were beautiful.  The photos do not do it justice.  It was a bit stormy so the low clouds made for a pretty drive down the canyon.  I snapped this quote at the museum, i love it.  I love everything about fall, colors, food, weather, sweaters and my birthday falls on the first day of fall.

After errands and the museum we stopped by the creamery and had some ice cream.  Despite all the rain, we had a fun day and it was nice to have a break from the school routine.

Walk/bike/scoot to school day

Today Gabrielle and I biked and Tabitha rode her scooter to school for bike to school day.  I didn't think to bring my camera in the morning so when Tabitha and I did the same thing to get her to school in afternoon I snapped a few photos.  She has gotten really fast on her scooter and loved riding it to school, twice.

Conference Sunday

What a great weekend!  We really enjoyed watching general conference.  The girls have loved drawing everyone's ties and this year they got distracted with other crafts that they did during conference.  Brandon made yummy crepes for today's breakfast, it has become a fun tradition that we refer to as crepefrence.  Emily came up last night, we always love when she visits.

Tooth #7

Gabrielle came home from school today and told me she bit in to a chip at lunch and her tooth came out!  It had been loose for a while so it was ready to come out she just gets nervous having us pull them out.  She happened to be eating school lunch that day so her friend gave her a sandwich bag to bring her tooth home in.  If you can see the other side on the bottom her tooth is coming in totally sideways and in that one space she has lost two teeth, not sure where the other one is going to come in!  We already know that both girls are going to need braces.
