Doggy Blanket

Kristen gave Gabrielle this doggy blanket for Christmas when she was 2 and it has become her favorite. Tabitha was able to use it one morning and we were joined by this cute doggie for breakfast.

Netflix

I love that I can sit at work and watch episode after episode of this. Once I finish this series I need some suggestions for others to watch. Netflix is the greatest thing and we will use it a lot more after we disconnect our direct tv in another week.

Snack

Gabrielle went with a few friends after ballet to play, so Tabitha and I went to the library for reading time and then stopped for a slush with ice cream on our way home. It was really quite tasty, tabitha knew I was taking photos so that is why the funny face.

Later in the day I found the girls like this in the pantry looking for a snack.

Sisters

I am always telling the girls that they are so lucky to have each other. Sisters are the best and I am sure lucky for mine!

and it is only breakfast....

... on Monday, this is going to be a long week.

Beauty Shop

Ice Fishing

During my bookclub this past weekend Brandon and the girls attempted ice fishing. They got there and all set up all while it was snowing and blowing and pretty cold. Gabrielle and Brandon could have handled it but Tabitha was done shortly after arriving. Brandon took some other photos but I can't seem to get them off the camera so I will keep trying and until then here is Gabrielle after fishing with her favorite fishing shirt on.

Practice

During quiet time Gabrielle was my model while I practiced a few things on my camera. She of course did not mind watching TV and eating a snack as part of the modeling part.

The Letter G

run, run as fast as you can, you can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man!

We learned about the letter G last week at pre-school. On our last day I read the kids "The Gingerbread Man" and then we decorated gingerbread cookies. Tabitha loves when pre-school is at our house and she can attend, she loves to learn right along side Gabrielle and the other kids.

Daddy learned me

Tabitha was so proud of herself for putting her boots on and zipping them up all by herself. I told her she was getting so big and how did she learn how to do it all by herself, she told me that "Daddy learned me".

workout

Tabitha was walking around grunting the other morning as she worked out with her "dumbell". She has been watching Brandon work out lately and wanted to work on her own muscles to get them strong.

Story Telling

While waiting for Brandon to come home from work we took turns telling stories. Gabrielle's pony rainbow dash also took a turn, "wait, another voice", is what Gabrielle said as she turned into her pony to tell the story.

But...

...I want to be beautipul! Tabitha was crying this as I wiped her face off just minutes before preschool. I told her she is beautiful and doesn't need makeup but if she wants to wear it then I need to help.

Fishing

Brandon was getting the girls fishing poles ready to join him ice fishing on monday, they didn't end up going because it was really windy and rainy off and on. They did however have fun fishing around the house on Sunday. They are hoping to join Brandon this weekend.

Photo a Day

Over the last few years I have followed a few photo a day blogs, through those blogs I have also linked to others doing the same thing. I have really liked the idea and feel it is a good way to journal our day to day life, especially since I haven't been as good at writing in my journal the last couple of years. I do think it would be a lot of work, but I want to try it this year. I will not do it in the same format as others I have seen, but I am going to try and take a photo a day and post most of them here. I was introduced to something new this year that I think looks fun and maybe I will try to create my own this year. I hope you don't get tired of my family photos but just know it is more for me than you! I have done pretty good with taking a lot of photos but most of them don't make it to the blog.

Bunk Beds

The girls have really enjoyed their new bunkbeds and sharing a room together. On their first night together we heard this over the monitor, "Do you know what I wish Tab? that we can be together forever!" I told Gabrielle the next morning that because Brandon and I were married in the temple that our family would be together forever.

Scripture Snake

The primary theme this year is "I know the Scriptures are True". Our ward primary gave all the kids these really cute scripture snakes that were filled with gum and a cute poem. The girls asked one morning to read the scriptures, so I read to them while they chewed their gum.

Skype

Here is Snow White, aka Tabitha, sitting in her closet skyping her friend Snow White. Don't you love modern technology? As Tabitha was getting all dressed up she told me that she was no longer Tabitha she was Snow White a beautiful princess.

Big Girl Bed

The girls earned a sleep over night and they decided they wanted us to set up the twin bed for Tabitha to sleep in Gabrielle's room. This was Tabith'a first night in a big girl bed. I have had no need to take her out of the crib and want her to still nap in the afternoons. They had the best time! They stayed up talking for an extra hour but slept great, especially Tabitha. They did this two nights in a row we decided we would try bunkbeds tonight.

Bedtime Routine

We have quite a routine with the girls at bedtime. If we try to let one step slide and Gabrielle realizes it she calls down and we have to do it with her. Reading books has always been part of our routine and this was an unusual site with both of them sitting on Brandons lap while he read. Usually one of them is running around, especially if it isn't their book we are reading.

Tabitha

Tabitha is a character at our house, she does and says the funniest things. She loves to be silly and is a big tease to her big sister. Here is something funny she said the other day:

Me, "Can you put my shoes away?"

Tab, "No, I am marrying somebody"

She proceeded to get all dressed up with her scarves and hats and then said, "I'm a beautiful Princess", "I'm just dancing not marrying somebody", "Where's my magic wand?". It then turned into a little photo shoot with Gabrielle taking photos with her new camera.

Maximus

We saw Tangled over the holidays and we have been teasing Tabitha that she is the horse Maximus because they both make the best scowl faces. Brandon sent me a text message the other day of something that Gabrielle said, "Tabitha told me that she didn't like me and put on her maximus face"!

Choose The Right

Gabrielle loved her new primary class this past Sunday, CTR4. She came home with a CTR ring which she is very proud of and is reminding us to Choose the Right.
