Birthday weekend

 

 

 

My Mom gave the girls tickets to Mary Poppins at the Hale theater in Salt Lake for their birthdays this year which included a fun sleepover.  Brandon had a trip to flaming gorge with friends the same weekend, so we stayed with my Mom a few more days.  We had fun swimming, playing with Layni on her new swingset, swimming some more, and we really enjoyed the play.  The girls love to wait in line to meet the cast afterwards.  Tabitha told me before we left that her schedule was going to be, "wake up, get in the pool, get out for lunch and get back in the pool, get out for dinner and get back in the pool".  It pretty much consisted of that, we had a great time!  Thanks Mom.

National Ice Cream Sunday

Today was National Ice Cream day, so we made some ice cream and had some friends over to celebrate with us.

Ears pierced

  

 

Gabrielle has been waiting a few weeks since turning 8 to get her ears pierced.  She has been so excited and has been talking about it all the time.  We went to the mall in Orem today to get it done.  She did great, but by the second ear you could see on her face she was a little nervous and it didn't help that the earring got stuck and then broke and had to be taken out and done again.  She recovered and is super happy with them!

Bridal Veil Falls

 

 

We enjoyed a Sunday evening with our friends the White's tonight at Bridal Veil Falls.   We are so lucky to have such great friends.  It was a beautiful night, the kids all had fun playing in the water.

Slide fun

 

 

We went swimming at my Mom's this afternoon.  We had fun playing around on the slide and doing some tricks.  A few weeks ago we would chat the person's name that was going down the slide.  Layni was really cute today and would chant the persons name, but she never wanted to go down the slide herself, even if we chanted her name.  She started climbing the steps like she was going down but never would, finally Kathryn grabbed her and went down the slide, she loved it and went down several more times.  Tabitha started something a few weeks ago by naming her slides, doing funny poses and such, I think that it was Kristen is doing in her slide picture.  We wished we lived closer and could go swimming more often but we love it when we do go.

Tracy Aviary

Justin, Vanessa, the girls and I went to the Tracy Aviary today.  It was pretty hot but we had fun seeing all the birds.  We paid extra to go in an feed the Sun Conures, we loved having them come up and land right on us to eat, some on our head!  We went back to the hotel the Fife's were staying in and the girls swam for a bit with Vanessa then we said goodbye to everyone, they are driving back to Washington tomorrow.  We had fun having them here and will miss them.

Luau

Tabitha really wanted a Luau a few weeks ago, we thought it would be fun to do when Brandon's family was here.  Emily found a bunch of cute decorations, Brandon made yummy BBQ pineapple bacon burgers and Diana made pina colada's.  It was a fun night!

Hair color Sunday

The girls have had fun experimenting with hair chalk lately.  Today they tried various colors in all of our hair.

Baptism

 

 

 

Gabrielle was baptized today and it was a wonderful beautiful day.  I am so proud of her and her decision to be baptized.  We love Gabrielle, she is such a sweet, smart kind girl.  We feel so blessed to have been able to spend this day with so many great friends and family, some that traveled far to be here.
