Ice Skating

Tabitha has mentioned several times that she would like to go ice skating. We are not sure where shehas gotten the idea. Today she "skated" around the kitchen floor in her "skates" and had a great time!

We set up the camera on the counter right before we left our hotel room to drive back to Utah. We sure had a fun time in California at Disneyland, the girls are already asking to come back, we better start planning!

Disneyland Day #4

When we come again we decided we would do 3 days but take a break after day 2. We were so tired yesterday and leaving the park early and taking naps was perfect. We had a great last day today and despite the crowds we fit a lot in. We started off riding Toy Story first since it gets so busy quickly, this is one of my favorites. We then rode the swings 3 times, jumpin' jellyfish, goofy's sky school 2 times, Tabitha was not tall enough for this but Gabrielle loved it. We saw the Pixar Pals street show, rode monsters and Ariel 2 times and then saw the Musical Aladdin. We then rode California Screamin', which every time we rode we took turns since the girls couldn't go on it. Heimlich's train, Grizzly River Rapids, River Cruise, Winnie the Pooh, and the Train around the park. We waited in our spot for over an hour to see the fireworks, while Emily and Vanessa saw World of Color and then finished off the night with Dumbo. The girls are already asking when we can go back!!

Disneyland Day #3

Vanessa gave the girls little books that we had all the characters we saw sign.

Vanessa bribed the girls with a treat if they would get in a picture with her. These are the treats they chose!

We were pretty tired today and the parks were pretty busy so we didn't do much and went home early for naps. We started the morning off with a breakfast with Mickey and friends and then walked over to disneyland and saw Fawn and Tinkerbell. We rode Alice in Wonderland, it had been broke down a few other times we had wanted to ride it. We then did Dumbo and Teacups, the girls favorites. We walked to Toon Town and rode Roger Rabbit then had lunch and headed home. We met my cousin Lindsey and her husband Brad and adorable little Faye for dinner. It was a fun day!

Disneyland Day #2

"I am like you!", says Tabitha

We had another fabulous day spending most of it at California Adventure. We got there right before it opened and went straight to Toy Story and rode it twice, walking on both times. We then rode the Ferris Wheel, California Screamin', silly symphony swings 2 times, jumpin' jellyfish 3 times, Ariel, Grizzly River Rapids 2 times, Soarin over California, and then lunch at Ariel's Grotto. We saw Ariel, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Belle. We then rode Monsters Inc, saw Muppets 3D, Tower of Terror 2 times, Flik's flyers, Heimlich train 3 times, ladybugs, bumper bugs, its tough to be a bug and then headed over to Disneyland. We rode Splash Mt. while Vanessa and Gabrielle rode Pirates. One time on Splash Mt. was enough for Gabrielle. Tabitha and Emily got soaked!! We then finished the night riding Winnie the Pooh. We were all pretty tired, but happy that we packed so much in and sure enjoyed the 80 degree weather.

Disneyland Day #1

Finally, tall enough!! Tabitha loved Splash Mountain the first time but wasn't so sure the second time we went down today.

We had a wonderful first day at Disneyland. The girls woke up to another surprise, Emily and Vanessa. We packed a lot in and the park was not to busy so we walked on most rides. We rode Peter Pan, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Dumbo 3 times, Pinocchio, tea cups 2 times, saw Rapunzel, rode Autotopia, saw Winnie the Pooh and Eeyore, rode Winnie the Pooh, Pirates, Jungle Cruise, Indiana Jones, walked through Tarzan's tree house, rode Splash Mt. 2 times, Ariel, Disney Jr. live on stage, California Screamin', Monsters inc., saw Mator & Lighting McQueen, King Triton's Carousal, and Parade. We are exhausted but ready for another day tomorrow.

Surprise

We have been planning a trip to Disneyland since last fall but keeping it a secret from the girls. We woke up this morning at 3:30 am and put the girls in the car. They asked where we were going and we said just for a drive. They fell back asleep once we got on the freeway and woke up around Cedar City. We drove to Mesquite NV and changed their clothes and then told them where we were going, they were excited!!!

Tabitha woke up in the night with a really high fever so Brandon took Gabrielle to church and I took Tabitha to the doctor. She has an ear infection, which Gabrielle was diagnosed with on Friday. They are both on antibiotics and hopefully will be 100% by the time our trip on tuesday.

Snowflake

We got hit today with a pretty big snowstorm. After I hosted book club we all went outside and built another snowman, "snowflake", who was a bit bigger than our last one, "frosty". It was pretty cold so we didn't get around to arms, eyes or mouth, just a carrot nose.
