Family home evening at our house consists of talking about our week, two songs chosen by
the girls, a short lesson by Brandon or I or the girls will share what they talked about in primary, closing prayer and then a treat. It lasts about 10 min. The fun part is the songs that each girl gets to pick, this week was London Bridges by Tabitha and do as i'm doing by Gabrielle. Thursday, March 31, 2011

Balls
We had my friend Camille's little boy Truman over to play on Friday, he is obsessed with balls! We have a basket of balls in the basement and when she dropped him off he ran right for them saying "balls" the whole time. He knows what each ball is and has a very good arm when throwing each one. The girls love him and had a fun morning playing with him.

Pajama Party
Gabrielle learned about the letter P this week at pre-school. They had a pajama party on Thursday where they read books, ate popcorn and made pizza. She was so excited to wear her pajama's but Tabitha was pretty sad that she didn't get to go. We had our own party at home where we wore our pajamas, watched a movie and ate popcorn. We have all really enjoyed our preschool co-op that we have done for Gabrielle the past two years and are already starting to think about doing one for Tabitha and her friends.

Friends
My friend Laura had a baby so we had her daughter Kate over to play. Tabitha likes to call her "her friend Kate", because we know so many Kates. They played really good together for hours, I just didn't get a good picture. They all dressed up and played happily with each other. It is fun to sit back and listen to little friend converstations. We are lucky to have such great friends.

Pedicure
A pedicure before church. Tabitha has never let me paint her toenails, this being her first time she loved it. I love having my toenails painted but for some reason never do them in the winter, I guess since no one ever sees them. I am excited to get back to painting them and all three of us can match.
Here are a few funny things that Tabitha said today,
"Where's my prince?", walking down the stairs in her princess dress.
"This is taking forever", waiting for the sacrament to be passed.

Crochet
Several years ago two of my friends from work, Della Mae and Rachel, taught me how to crochet. I started easy with burp cloths and can do one in a shift at work. I have done a blanket for each of my girls, but like doing burp cloths because they are so quick. They are also nice to have on hand for baby gifts. I would like to learn other crocheting, another girl at work make herself sweaters!

Pet Shop

The girls like to play pet shop, they will set up various animals and food and then we will come shopping for what we want or need. I decided to buy a unicorn and Tabitha rushed for her net and scooped it right up for me, but not before getting herself as well! If you have a need or want for a new pet please keep us in mind, the service is great and the prices are pretty reasonable.Sunday, March 20, 2011

Little purses
I shrunk down the pattern to the purse I made for me when Diana was here and made two for the girls. They were so excited to have one just like me and they turned out so cute. We did so much sewing while Diana was here and I did not want to waste any fabric so I was always thinking of ways I could use up what was left but ended up buying more! We sure had fun.

Eternal Families

I worked Monday night and as the sun was going down I walked outside to take a few photos of the temple. It was a nice warm night and not many people were walking around, I felt such wondering peaceful feeling as I stood there looking at the temple. I am grateful for eternal families and for my marriage in the temple. Gabrielle and Tabitha love to look at our wedding photos in front of the temple and have a desire to be married there as well. My thoughts on Monday were with my friend Linda who lost her son the day before in a car accident, I just want her to know that I am thinking of her and find comfort in the temple and our knowledge of eternal families.

Sunday

Brandon was called to be the 2nd counselor in our bishopric. We have known for a couple of weeks, but this past Sunday he was called and set apart and also ordained to a High Priest. We had a nice day with family and friends. The girls skirts and shirts were sewing project #4 all done by Diana, they turned out so cute.Tuesday, March 15, 2011

Disney on Ice

Friday night we met family for dinner in Salt Lake to celebrate Scott's 22nd birthday. We then checked into Kristen's hotel downtown and walked over to the Energy Solutions Arena for Disney on Ice. The girls loved the showed and seeing all of their favorite Disney characters. We then walked back to our hotel and the girls had fun doing foot massages, jumping on the beds, serving us drinks and occasionaly Tabitha snuck away to her 'office' to work. It was sure a fun getaway for us!Sunday, March 13, 2011
Laundry Room
After
For Christmas my in-laws gave me a laundry room makeover. My father-in-law and Brandon built the shelves while they were here over Christmas. Brandon and I caulked, filled nail holes and painted this past week. It looks great and I am excited to get the shelves filled with storage and have an organized place for the girls to put their shoes and hang their coats up right when they come in the house. The girls had fun putting their stuff away and getting it all nicely organized.
