Utah Utes Gymnastics

Emily got tickets through her school to the University of Utah Gymnastics tonight.  Brandon decided to stay home with Winston and we had a fun girls night.  Tabitha was pretty cranky and not happy about the whole thing, I think she was expecting something else, not sure what though.  The other girls had a great time!

More Winston

The girls have really loved Winston.  He is really easy going but will have spurts of puppy energy and then crash.  He loves to give kisses and is still working on potty training.

Winston

 

Brandon and the girls have wanted to get another dog.  They have researched various breeds and decided on a Boston Terrier.  They have spent several months looking for puppies and Brandon found one last week.  He and Tabitha drove this morning to the airport to pick up Winston.  He is a cute puppy and pretty calm.  The girls love him!  I think he will be a nice addition to our family.

Funny face Sunday

Gabrielle loves to play with the photobooth app on my phone and I-pad  I will find random photos of us all the time.  Kathryn gave me the idea yesterday to do this for our Sunday photo, after we spent the day laughing about all the photos on my phone.

Sleepover

We had a fun girls night sleepover at my Mom's.  We ate dinner at Burger Bar, where I worked in high school.  We had fun playing games, watching movies on phones, dressing up, eating and staying up late.

Crazy Hair

Today was crazy hair day at school.  I did the same thing on Gabrielle's hair that I did last year.  I need to think of some fun ideas for next year.  Tabitha has loved that she gets to participate in all the fun this week.  We drove to Ogden after school to have a sleepover at my Mom's and she kept her hair in for all to see.

Jumprope

The girls showing off their jump rope skills after learning a few things in the class they offered!  This month is literacy week at school,  today was wear your pajama's to school which the girls loved.

Natural History Museum

With the girls out of school today we met my Mom and Layni and Emily at the Natural History Museum.  I had heard about this new chocolate exhibit which sounded really yummy and fun.  The museum is huge, I think I went years ago and they have a nicer newer building.  The girls had fun, especially with Layni.  Gabrielle was really cute holding her hand, showing her things and following her around.  At one point she asked if I could watch Layni for a minute, I think she wanted to look at all the exhibits and not chase Layni around!  When we got to the chocolate exhibit it smelled so good.  It was interesting to learn about the history of chocolate and even taste some.  Most of the chocolate we eat is candy, Emily told us how we can tell if it is real chocolate, it breaks easy with a snap sound and has no air bubbles.  We then had a yummy lunch and headed home.

Sunday Breakfast

Brandon makes dutch babies for breakfast almost every Sunday morning.  We have had these for breakfast for years.  I am usually sleeping in the morning after my grave shift but I didn't work last night so I got to enjoy them warm with everyone.  We also make our own maple syrup which is so much better then store bought.

Happy Birthday Layni

 

 We had fun celebrating tonight with Layni J for her second birthday which is tomorrow.  She is so much fun, and quite the entertainer, we sure do love her.  She loves Minnie Mouse, the party was so cute and fun.  The girls went home with my Mom after the party and Brandon and I did sealings at the Brigham City temple, which is beautiful.

Valentine's Day

We have had fun all month getting ready for Valentine's day.   My Mother in law helped me a few years ago make these adorable hearts that we tie to the back of our chairs.  February 1st the girls were so excited to decorate and immediately started leaving notes for us the past 2 weeks.  I planned out something every few days to leave for them as well.  They woke up this morning so excited and had a bear and card from Brandon and I had a  few books.  Tabitha was super sad because the book she really wanted wasn't there, it was on back order hoping that it will come in next week.  I pinned a few ideas on pinterest and let the girls choose which one they wanted for their classroom Valentine's and then created them in photoshop.  I signed up to help with a craft in Gabrielle's class and was able to pop into Tabitha's for about half of her party.   Brandon had some beautiful red roses delivered, which was a huge surprise.  We had pizza for dinner, I made pepperoni's into hearts and then watched the Olympics.

Music

I love spending time with Tabitha in the mornings.  We get Gabrielle off to school and then have several hours before Kindergarten starts.  We have gymnastics, ballet and friends but then some mornings it is just the two of us.  This morning found us making music in her room.

Kristen

Kristen hosted a Jewelry party for a friend of hers so we drove up after school to spend the evening with her, Mom, Kathryn and Layni.
