Happy Birthday Gabrielle!!

 

 

Today Gabrielle turned 9!!  She is such a cute, fun, smart girl.  She wanted to have an under the sea party with friends today.  They played water games in the backyard and got a lot more wet then we planned!  They had fun getting David wet and Vanessa was a great sport to play with the girls and got wet herself!!  Gabrielle loves crab, just like Brandon.   She chose Joe's Crabshack for her birthday dinner. We then all went to see the new movie Inside Out, which was really cute.  What a fun day.  We sure do love Gabrielle!

Happy Father's Day!

 We sure are lucky to have this guy as our Dad, husband and friend.  I hope we took good care of him today.  He was great this weekend while I was running the Ragnar and there were many family members in and out of the house.  We also had a BBQ with all our family once the race was finished that he put together and cooked the food!  Love you Brandon!!

Wasatch Back

 The girls set up a gatorade stand on the corner for the vans driving past.  They didn't sell as much as they had hoped but I think they each earned $20 for items they have been saving for.  

 10.3 miles uphill from Park City high school to the top of Guardmans Pass!! Lindsey was a rockstar and deserved the extra medal!

 My friend Camille's parents live right along my last leg.  It was hot and I was tired.  My van could not stop and support me but Camille saved me!  She had fresh cold water and ice twice while I was running.   

12 Lucas cousins decided to run a Ragnar again in honor of our Grandpa Lucas, Team Running Type.  2 were pregnant, 8 came in from 5 different states, Aunts, parents, friends and grandparents watching 15 kids left at home, family members cheering us on along the route, one deer being hit, 3 late night/early morning volunteers, gorgeous views and we all finished in one piece.  It was a huge accomplishment this Ragnar is pretty tough, the altitude for those that came from other states, the heat, the hills.  I am so glad that I did it again, I felt so much better then I did in Las Vegas.  

Daddy Daughter Dance

Brandon and the girls swam a bit with me today at my Mom's and then left me to get ready for the Ragnar.  They came home for Brandon and Gabrielle to go to an Activity day Daddy Daughter Dance.  They had a fun night!

Fun with Cousins!

My cousin Melissa drove in from Las Vegas on Monday to prepare for the Ragnar.  She is visiting with other family and friends that live up this way.  The girls loved having cousins to play with, they would disappear to the basement and all played very well together.  Melissa and I drove up the hill that she will be running down and enjoyed the beautiful valley from above.

Swimming

 

 

 

We spent the weekend at my Mom's swimming.  We had such a cold wet spring that her pool didn't get open until the end of May.  We are enjoying swimming as much as we can.  We love swimming with cute little chubby Everest.  He loves the water.

Hike to the Y

 

 

 I have been wanting to hike to the Y for the past several years.  This was finally the year that me made it.  Camille Simons, Laura White and I narrowed down tonight that we could all get together.  Camille's cousin Lindsey was in town and joined us as well.  It was hot and steep and a lot more intense that I imagined but we all did it!  The view from the top was amazing and the hike down as the sun was setting was sure beautiful.  We rewarded ourselves with snow cones and ice cream.
