Gibson family reunion

My Mom and her fours sisters, Caroline, Leslie, Heather, Wendy and their Dad, Kenneth Lucas, missing one brother Blair.

My mom planned a Gibson family reunion this past saturday in St. George to honor her mother, Rebecca Gibson Lucas and her siblings and parents. It was fun to get together with family in hopes of warmer weather. The sun was out but it was quite windy but we enjoyed ourselves visiting and swimming. There are only 3 of my grandmothers siblings still alive but none were in attendance based on health but there were several of my mom's cousins and siblings and my cousins and their kids.

Thomas the Train

It is that time of year where Thomas the Train visits our valley. We were not planning on riding this year since we did last year, but it is still fun to see it out our back window. My friend Brooke and her two boys came up on Friday to visit and play and then they headed over to ride the train.

Jury duty

I fulfilled my civic duty and reported for jury duty on thursday. Brandon took the day off just in case I got picked, but after two hours of getting to know all of us I was sent home. I was happy not being picked and enjoyed the day with Brandon and the girls working in the yard. I am still interested to see how the case turned out however.

Puppet show

We went with some friends to the library for the last reading day until fall. They had a puppet show and a few other activities. It wasn't quite what I expected but when we got home the girls wanted to do their own puppet show. We set up a stage and they went and got all their finger puppets and have had fun putting on shows. I reazlied that we have a lot of finger puppets but no hand puppets, we will have to have fun making some of our own this summer.

llama llama

We love reading the Llama llama books, when I went to the author site today it looks like she has a few others not in this series that look cute.

Spring

I love this tree, flowering plum, that we have in the front yard. It is so pretty this time of year with these beautiful blossoms. We are a bit colder up here so we are just getting our blossoms blooming and it is so pretty to drive up to our house and see color.

IPad

Diana brought her IPad with her and the girls loved it. Gabrielle got really good with a few games and movies. She was funny and would just carry it around with her and we would find her all over the house enjoying herself. It was a very good quiet time in the afternoons!

Ballet Performance

I know this is my third ballet post this week, but that's what was going on with us. Gabrielle did such a great job in her jelly fish performance saturday, along with the rest of her class. Gabrielle and Tabitha loved watching all the other dancers perform. We look forward to a summer off and then starting it back up again along with a class for Tabitha.

Dress Rehersal

Gabrielle had her dress rehersal Friday for her Finding Nemo performance. Her little class is so cute and they did such a great job!

This little piggy...

We woke up thursday to snow! It melted by the afternoon but was still pretty wet. Tabitha was outside running around without her shoes off and left this cute print behind.

Last day

Wednesday was Gabrielle's last day of Ballet. She has sure enjoyed Miss Trisha and her class and is excited for her performance on Saturday.

W is for Worm

The kids loved watching these worms wiggle around during pre-school. Gabrielle seems to think she can pick out the female ones and insists that they are pregnant. Tabitha and Summer were over them pretty fast, but Gabrielle and Tyler would touch them and Tyler even picked them up. Thanks to Diana for getting them out for me, I am not one that likes to touch worms!

Dancing with the stars

The girls LOVE watching Dancing with the stars on Monday nights. They mimic what the dancers are doing whether fast or slow, twirls or kicks and usually have several wardrobe changes. Brandon and I took a ballroom dance class when we were first married and I have a tendency to lead, so I don't know how I would do on the this show but it sure has been fun watching it.

Thanks Vanessa for helped with the bumblee bee wings, these cake pops are sure a lot of work, but turned out pretty cute.

Kristen gave her this camelback and she wore it arond all day and into the night, just taking a drink whenever she got thirsty.

We had fun celebrating tabitha's 3rd birthday on Saturday. She decided she wanted a bumblebee party a couple of months ago and we sure had a good time. She was so excited all day and just kept saying, "I can't believe it is my birthday!"

Gloves

Brandon's Mom and sister Vanessa flew in to celebrate Tabitha's birthday. Whenever family comes they always have some fun stuff for the girls. They brought gloves that Vanessa and Emily wore to their proms for the girls to use as dress-up! They love them!

1st Haircut

I decided to take Tabitha in to get a little trim. We had prepared her for a few days about sitting still and listening to the lady that was going to cut her hair. She did so well that when she was done she said, "the lady didn't say anything to me", I told her it was because she did such a good job sitting still. She was so excited to have her hair cut and was really cute all day.

Bumblebee preparations

Tabitha wanted a bumblebee party, which we celebrate today, but this is my photo from Wed. We have been busy getting things all ready for a fun bumblebee party.
