Fun at Grandma's

Going to my Mom's is like going to your own little farm. They have a dog and six cats, then several of the neighbors goats and sheep eating the grass in the field and then ducks, roosters, cows and horses around the neighborhood. We never acutally saw any roosters, but we sure heard them! Gabrielle had a great time playing with all the new animals and saying their sounds. My Mom fixed up her old bike and had a seat put on the back, we had a great time riding around the neighborhood.

Ogden Paddle Festival

Brandon flew up to Seattle yesturday to drive back down with his brother for school, so Gabrielle and I went up to my Mom's. My Mom, Kathryn, Kristen, Gabrielle and I went to Pine View Dam for the Ogden Paddle Festival. It was a beautiful day and the water was perfect. Gabrielle was in heaven just playing in the sand and mud and letting the waves splash her. She could have stayed out there all day. They had kayak's that you could take out, which was a lot of fun.

Happy Anniversary

Today Brandon and I are celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary. We are going to New York next month without Gabrielle to celebrate, so today we had a nice breakfast together and are eating dinner at the Elders Quorum Social.

Walking

Gabrielle is now walking! She is so darn cute. She really takes "baby steps" and is a little awkward, but has pretty good balance and sure gets around. She has already had one little accident, thus the red mark on her forehead.

Wheeler Farm

We went to Wheeler Farm yesturday. We saw Cows, ducks, horses, pigs, rabbits, roosters, I think that is about it. It was fun, but very hot and not worth the long drive to Salt Lake. Gabrielle is getting another tooth and hates being in her car seat, so it was a day with lots of crying as we also tried to get a few other errands done. We will be doing activities and errands closer to home from now on!

She started out the trip with a smile!

Not from our garden, but still pretty good.

Garden

We have enjoyed watching the progress of our garden. This is our first year having one and we have already tried two ears of corn and several pea pods. We also have tomatoes, yellow peppers, carrots, watermelon and pumpkins. I am most excited for the tomatoes. Brandon doesn't like them but wants to try one just because he planted and watched them grow, so we will see how he likes them.

Mischief

Gabrielle loves to climb in, on, out, over, etc., etc., on everything. She is now taking 3-8 steps or so on her own, it is so cute.

Edmonds Beach

We took a BBQ lunch to the beach one afternoon and enjoyed playing by the water. Gabrielle loves playing with dirt and rocks, she was in Heaven.

We had a wonderful time in Seattle. Brandon and I were able to see two movies in the theater, Harry Potter and The Bourne Ultimatum, we have only seen three since Gabrielle was born. We also went out to lunch and ordered our favorite appetizers at The Cheesecake Factory. Thank you to Brandon's family for a wonderful time.

Woodland Park Zoo

We went to the Zoo our last day in Seattle. Gabrielle loves animals and has several sounds that she makes. She loved the petting zoo where she got to pet a bunny rabbit and several sheep and goats.

Mariners Game

We had a great time at the Mariners game on Friday night. They played the Boston Red Sox and won 7-4. The game was sold out and I was surprised by how many Red Sox fans there were.

Fishing in the Puget Sound

On our trip to Seattle, Brandon went fishing with his Dad, Justin, Steve and Das. Steve was a good captain and found the fish. This here is a 12 pound King salmon, which was very tasty!!!
