Trick or Treat

 

We had dinner with friends and then went trick or treating around our neighborhood.  Emily stayed back at the house and handed out candy.

Football party

We had our annual football party tonight with friends.  It was originally planned to the night of my surprise party and everyone wanted to make sure that we still did a football party.  We had a fun night and even thought we are the only Ute fans we sure are grateful for such wonderful friends!

 

 

 The girls spent the night with Emily.  She is such a fun Aunt and always has fun things planned for the girls.  They had Pizza and decorated cupcakes and watched Freaky Friday.

School Parade

 

 For the first time in years the kids were able to dress up for Halloween at school!  Everyone was so excited.  They did a fun parade around the school.  The 4th grade then immediately started walking to the High School to the Mountain Man Rendezvous.  They will be doing their own Rendezvous next month so this was fun to see.  I drove over and enjoyed it with them but it was super cold.

Crazy hair and carving pumpkins

  The girls love crazy hair day at school but I am not that creative.  It worked out this year that it was the week of Halloween so we were excited how Gabrielle's turned out.  Tabitha was specific about what she wanted but not sure it turned out that great.

 

 We carved our pumpkins tonight after dinner, the girls both designed their own,  Everyone's favorite part of pumpkin carving is the roasted pumpkin seeds.  I was in charge of cleaning out the pumpkins, not my favorite part!

Everest

 

 

Kristen and Everest came up today so we could take a few 6 month pictures of him.  They got here early so the girls saw him before they left for school, Tabitha has been really cute with him and loves to hold him.  He is such a cutie, we sure do love him.

Halloween Party

 

 

We always love getting together with my family and dressing up for Halloween.  My Mom has bins and bins of costume ideas, so I didn't have to think to hard.  The girls were excited about their costumes, thanks to my Mom for helping make Tabitha's.

Sugar Cookies

One fun tradition that I have from growing up is decorating sugar cookies for Halloween.  I have loved to create my own traditions with my family but also to carry on some from my childhood.  We always used candy corns, red hots and black licorice ropes along with sprinkles, I could only find red licorice this year.

I'll I want for Christmas....

Tabitha lost her 4th tooth, 2nd on the top by the pool in St. George.  We are all hoping that her top teeth don't grown in until after Christmas.

Tuachan

 

 

 I was able to get some great last minute seats to Beauty and the Beast at Tuachan.  It was going to be the last night but I think they extended the show into next week.  We had so much fun!  Tabitha and I stayed after to meet some of the cast.  I love the Tuachan venue and October was a great time to come, not to hot.  The rain was a bit of a worry but it turned out to be such a great night.
