Lost tooth #4

Gabrielle lost another tooth last night.  It has been loose since before Christmas and we have been trying to get it out.  She went into shock last time she lost a tooth so we figured she was a bit worried about that again.  We were doing FHE and the girls were sitting on the couch in their chairs.  Tabitha had the ottoman as a foot rest and ran to the bathroom so Gabrielle took the foot rest for herself.  When Tabitha came back she pulled it out from under Gabrielle and she dramatically fell to the floor, chair and all.  Brandon and I were laughing hysterically and Gabrielle popped up and said, "My tooth is gone".  She was pretty excited but once she saw the blood she had to lie down so as not to go into shock again.

Wii Sunday

No football games today and the last game of the season is next week.  I sometimes forget what Sundays are like without them!  We played a few rounds of Wii bowling tonight before bed.  The girls are getting really good and Tabitha is hilarious to watch.

Ice fishing

Tabitha and Brandon spent some time ice fishing today out on Deer Creek.  Tabitha was super excited to get out but pretty sad that they didn't catch anything.  We drove past Deer Creek yesterday and there were a lot of fishermen out but with the latest rain it didn't look like thick ice, but Brandon said there was about 6-7 inches.  Gabrielle and I had a little date and picked up some stuff for her class valentines.

Sunday

My Mom, Kathryn and Layni came up today after church so we could take photos of Layni for her first birthday next month.  My Mom had just gotten back from Australia last night so we were excited to see her and hear about her trip and the girls were excited to see what she brought back for them.  I had requested chocolate, a favorite from my mission.  The girls each got a 3-D Koala or Kangaroo that they put together and my Mom bought a new book she read them.  They have loved the original that they read when staying at her house.  My Mom also bought some cute fabric with aboriginal art on it and made all of us table runners.  Layni is so darn cute and I think the photos turned out great.  I will let Kathryn post the one she likes on her blog, but I thought I would post just this one.  The girls were great helpers in getting Layni to smile, arranging the balloons or holding up the backdrop, especially Gabrielle.

Friends

We had our friends Presley and Stella over to play today, they are the exact same age as my girls and we love getting together with them.  The girls dressed up and I found them putting "make-up" on and getting ready for a performance.  One time they got a little to made up and Stella went home with lip gloss all in her hair, thankfully this time it was just on their lips.

Scripture reading

We are doing the same reading chart as last year, it was such a great way to read the scriptures with kids.  I wanted Gabrielle to be a part of the reading this year, she read the introduction over a period of 3 days.   There are a lot of big words but she has really been progressing and loving reading.

Letter P

Tabitha and I are really liking our pre-school.  We are taking a letter each week and some weeks I am a little more creative then others.  Today we talked about the letter P and made a penguin and a peacock and read one of our favorite books.  Tabitha'a  favorite part is the "craft", which makes me feel like I really need to come up with some good stuff, any ideas or websites please feel free to send my way.  I have loved having this time with just the two of us.

Sunday

We have had a pretty low key week.  I ended up with pink eye on Monday and Tabitha had a really bad cough, so we just took it easy and watched a lot of movies.  We are glad to finally be feeling better.  Brandon was super bummed that the Seahawks lost their playoff game today.

Sunday

Tabitha came home from church not feeling good, a bad cough, she really did look better than this picture but I thought it was perfect face for her and how she was feeling so I didn't bother taking another one.  Brandon had fun watching the Seahawks win their wildcard playoff game 24-14 against the Washington Redskins.  This is the first Sunday of 2013 and I am going to continue with taking a family photo each week. I am also excited to do another year of project life, I have loved having 2012 documented in one binder.

Lunch

David and Diana are leaving tomorrow so we decided to check Gabrielle out of school and go to lunch.   We have had a fun few extra days with them and are sad to see them go.
