Swimming lessons

The girls had swim lessons this week.  We rode our bikes everyday, Gabrielle did great on her little bike and had fun.  Tabitha was looking forward to going down the slide on the last day and had so much fun!!  I wish I would have signed up for two weeks in a row but I think we will be swimming a lot this summer so hopefully they can continue to practice and improve.

Sunday bike ride

Gabrielle learned to ride her bike last year but only a few feet.  Today we got out and rode several times around the block.  She was pretty nervous at first and only going a few feet and then putting her feet down but after several times she was going the whole way without stopping!  She is on the tiny bike that Tabitha should be riding with training wheels but we will let her get good at this and then slowly advance her up.

 We had fun playing games, this one was a hit.

 My sister Kristen's birthday was last Saturday when we celebrated Tabitha's birthday so we got together to day to celebrate.  Brandon made some yummy ribs for dinner, we played outside, stayed up late playing games and had fun being together.  The girls are doing a local 5K in the morning, a first for all of us.

Sunday

 Tabitha loves picking flowers.  We have had so many dandelions that we are OK when she picks those.

Emily came up for dinner after church today and then took Diana back to Salt Lake with her until she flew home on Tuesday.  We had fun with Diana here with us this week.

Another party

I feel like we have been celebrating Tabitha's birthday for a week! After her ballet performance we all gathered back at our house for a family party.  We had yummy BBQ hamburgers, Brandon really makes the best burgers.  Tabitha loved getting even more presents and sharing the spotlight with Layni.  Layni is so cute and walking everywhere.  We had a fun day with family and were sure grateful for such beautiful weather.  I feel bad that I didn't get us all together for a group shot, maybe next time.  Thanks to my friend Tara for helping with the cake, I cooked the cakes and she did the rest, she really is amazing!!

Swan

Tabitha was a swan along with her class in the performance of Peter Pan.  She loves to dance, she had the best facial expressions during her performance.  She danced her way out of the building to the car and never really stopped today.  She is quite the entertainer and dancing really suits her personality.  

Snake

We went out to breakfast this morning for Tabitha's birthday and then took Nicodemus into Gabrielle's class.  We did this last year and the kids loved it but not all of them wanted to touch him, just watched from a far.  This year all the kids wanted to touch him and a lot of them wanted him around their neck, even Mrs. Hayter.
