First day of 1st grade!
Gabrielle started first grade today! She was so excited, especially after meeting her teacher last night. She had a hard time falling asleep and woke up early this morning. She had a little meltdown right before walking out the door, she decided she didn't want to eat lunch at school but wanted to bring her own. I have not been grocery shopping all week because we are leaving out of town so I threw something together. I hope she has a wonderful day! Tabitha and I are sure going to sure miss her.

Mirror Lake
Setting up our tent the first night.
first fish
The girls love taking care of Layni and were both so excited when she arrived.
We took a walk part way around the lake and enjoyed identifying wildflowers from a book my Mom has and then on our way back Tabitha was pretty funny planting gardens and watering them from her camelback.
Tabitha did not catch any fish, we need to get out again for her.
I am sure Tabitha is going to love in a few years when every picture of her is a funny face, I cannot get that girl to look at the camera and just smile!

Singing around the fire
Brandon and Ryan carved walking sticks for the girls with their names in them.

Temple Square
After the zoo we met Diana and Emily at City Creek for lunch and then walked over to temple square. We stopped in to see where I work and then walked around enjoying all the beautiful flowers and counting the brides, I think we saw 5. Tabitha had to "pose" for every picture!
Zoo
My brother Scott is a pilot and missed both the girls birthdays this year. He wanted to take the girls somewhere to celebrate so we met him and his girlfriend Kristen at the Zoo this morning. We had fun at the new Rocky Shores area with polar bears, grizzly bears, river otters and seals. Thanks Scott, the girls are sure lucky to have you as an uncle!!

Bridal shower
Tabitha had a "broken" hand that she repaired with the ribbon off the presents.
This shirt was given to the girls my another aunt but Gabrielle wore it today for Kristen. We sure are lucky to have so many aunts that love the girls!
Kristen's friend and her family had a bridal shower for her today. We then headed back to my Mom's to play. The girls had fun jumping on the trampoline with the sprinkler underneath. We have loved sharing all of our fun baby toys with Layni. We brought a cute little piano that Tabitha got when she was about Layni's age and she loved it. She sat there for at least a half hour just hitting all the keys and listening to the music and watching all the lights.
