St. George Temple

Above photos by Tabitha!  She was cute walking around talking selfies

This morning we visited the St. George temple and visitors center.  This has always been a favorite temple of mine.  It is so white and looks so amazing up against the red rock.  It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed walked around the grounds.  We then drove over to Brigham Young winter home which was fun to tour around.  We have enjoyed our trip with Grandma this week.

Bike ride

We were sad to say goodbye to Kathryn and Layni this morning but had a fun day of biking, gelato, movies, swimming and pedicures.  The bike trail runs just below the neighborhood of my Grandparents.  It is weird to see their house and not be there to visit them.

We had a fun morning hiking around snow canyon.  It was cooler and windy but the scenery is so beautiful.  We had lunch and then drove out of the park to some petroglyphs.  The girls had so much fun here hiking around the petroglyphs.  We picked up some flowers and took them to Grandma and Grandpa Lucas's grave.

Pizza

We had so much fun this afternoon with Kristoni's parents, Mark and Gaye.  They have a fabulous pizza oven in their back yard.  Mark was so great with the girls, he had a chef's hat and they each got a turn rolling out the dough and putting the ingredients on and cooking it.  The pizza was yummy!!

Glitter Mountain

Kathryn had heard from a few friends about this fun place called glitter Mountain, it is an old Gypsum Mime.  We set off with a hand drawn map someone had posted online.  It is out in the middle of no where and we didn't see any other cars but when we got there it was crowded.  The mt. did sparkle when the sun came out and the girls loved collected the rocks of so many fun shapes and sizes.  The blog we found said that the land is privately owned so you couldn't chip away but there were still people doing it but there was plenty we found on the ground which was OK to collect.  It was a fun adventurous morning!
