Hollywood

  We had a fun day with Emily today.  We drove to Venice beach, which took forever.  Anywhere you drive in Southern California takes so long with traffic!  We had lunch and then walked around a bit, it was a little windy and cool.  We drove back towards Griffith Park Observatory.  It was a fun drive to the top and that is when we were told it was closed because they were filming a movie, bummer.  We were looking forward to the view especially since it was such a clear day.  We then went to Sunset Blvd. to walk up and down.  We saw several stars, hand prints, Chinese Grauman theater and lots of interesting people.

Disneyland

 

 

We decided last minute yesterday to join the rest of the Fife's at Disneyland today.  I am so glad that we did!  It was a busy long day but we had so much fun.  The girls were able to ride all the rides and we loved doing California Screamin together.

We have been so excited for today!  We drove into LA last night and met the family this morning at the LA temple.  Cassidy and Hannah came and watched the girls while we were in the temple.  The weather has been pretty rainy but the sun came out today and was perfect.  We had a quick dessert at a place Camille had suggested, Diddy Reese and then went to the wedding luncheon.  It was fun to get to know Jen's family and celebrate Justin and Jen.  We then drove out to where Jen grew up, Chino Hills for the reception.  It was a fun party and a great day!

NZAM Sister Missionary Reunion

 

 

I had a fabulous weekend spent with sisters from the New Zealand Auckland Mission!  In March I came home from my mission 18 years ago.  We started the weekend doing a session in the Provo City Center Temple, it was so great to be in the temple with so many people that I love and changed and influenced my life for good.  We had a cabin that was rented in Sundance so we met up there for dinner and were joined by so many other sisters.  We had a great time talking and sharing memories from New Zealand and catching up on lives now.  We spent Saturday visiting some ore.  President Hunter had a "zone conference" and then we enjoyed lunch at Sundance.  The snow was really coming down, it was such a beautiful winter wonderland.  We hope to do this again!

New Years Day

If there is any day that 1 pm church is good is was today!  We were up so late last night it was nice to sleep in and take our time getting ready for church.
